ServerSpan has added Didit as an additional identity verification partner, alongside Stripe Identity. When KYC validation is required, eligible clients can now choose the verification provider they prefer during the validation process.
This change gives clients more flexibility while helping us keep the platform safer for legitimate users. Identity verification is used to reduce abuse, fake account activity, payment fraud, and other risks that can affect hosting infrastructure and customer trust.
KYC is not required for every customer
ServerSpan does not require KYC validation for every customer or every order by default. We request additional identity verification only in selected cases, such as when automated anti-fraud checks or manual review indicate elevated risk, or when additional account validation is needed before activating or continuing a service.
If verification is requested, the client can complete the process through either Stripe Identity or Didit, depending on availability and preference. The goal is simple: keep the process reasonable for legitimate clients while making abuse harder for bad actors.
What clients should do
Clients who are asked to complete KYC will receive instructions during the validation process. Please do not send identity documents by email or ticket unless our support team explicitly provides an approved method for doing so.
This update is part of our ongoing work to keep ServerSpan services safer, reduce fraud, and maintain a cleaner hosting environment for real customers.
