systemd Service File Generator

A systemd service is a unit definition that tells systemd how to start, stop, and manage a background process on Linux.

Save it as your-service.service in /etc/systemd/system/, then run systemctl daemon-reload and systemctl enable --now your-service.

It tells systemd when to start your service at boot. multi-user.target is the standard multi-user runlevel on most servers.

Use forking when your service daemonizes itself (forks into the background). For most modern services, simple works fine.

It restarts your service automatically whenever it exits. Use a sensible RestartSec to avoid rapid restart loops.

Use Environment lines for a few values or reference an EnvironmentFile for larger sets of variables.
