ServerSpan is changing how we work. We are moving away from à la carte hosting plans and toward individually designed engagements, built for registered businesses and professionals. The short version: fewer clients, closer partnerships, and technology that is genuinely cared for.
Management comes first
For years, hosting was something you picked from a list — a plan, a set of specifications, a monthly price. That model is efficient, but it puts the product before the relationship. We want to work the other way around.
An engagement with ServerSpan starts with understanding your business: what you do, how you work, and what your systems actually need to support. From there we shape the infrastructure around you and look after it personally. Hosting is still part of what we provide, but it becomes one element of an ongoing relationship rather than a fixed plan you select and manage on your own. There are no off-the-shelf specifications — each setup is designed for the business it serves.
A small portfolio, by design
This approach only works at a certain scale. To give each engagement the attention it deserves, we keep our client portfolio deliberately small. That is a choice, not a limitation. Fewer clients means we can know each one properly, respond quickly, and take real responsibility for the systems we run. It also means we are selective about who we take on — these engagements are for registered businesses and professionals who want a long-term technical partner, not a self-service control panel.
What stays the same
Not everything is changing. Website, AI, and support projects continue to be quoted individually, based on what each project actually involves. And our IPv4 leasing service continues to operate independently, exactly as before — if you lease address space from us, nothing about that changes.
Let’s talk
If your business would be better served by infrastructure that is designed around it and managed personally, we would like to hear from you. Tell us what you are working on, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
Fewer clients. Closer partnerships. Technology cared for.
